About Hope Counselling
Hope Counselling International Inc. is comprised of experienced and knowledgeable counsellors serving the Fredericton, Nackawic and Woodstock area, providing quality confidential services. We offer counselling assistance for anyone seeking help with marital issues, depression and/or anxiety, stress, workplace burnout, chronic pain, eating disorders and/or body language problems, low self-esteem, addictions, emotional, physical or sexual abuse. Hope Counselling International Inc. is an EAP/EFAP provider and offers several payment plans.
Staff
H. Allison Burlock, B.Sc., B.Ed., M.Ed., C.C.C.
Allison has been providing private counselling and personal coaching for over twelve years professionally in the river valley area. This follows thirty years of teaching experience at the high school level. Allison and his wife, Sandra, live in Nackawic with their pet dog, Caramel, and have two grown children, Ben and Alexander.
Sandra Burlock, Office Manager
Sandra Burlock is the wife of Allison Burlock and takes care of all the day-to-day office and administration duties. She is an integral part of Hope Counselling International Inc.
Insecurity
I. Causes of Insecurity:

- Difficult time establishing lasting friendships
- Indecisiveness
- Anger
- Problems meeting other people
- Attempt to hide it
IV. How to Deal with Insecurity:
- Acknowledge your feelings and identify the causes
- Realize it is more than self-esteem; the way you see yourself is not necessarily the way you are
- Focus on the positive qualities of your life
- Stop comparing yourself to others
- Reward yourself when you do the right thing
Stress
It's time to seek professional help for stress if you:
- feel that stress is affecting your health
- feel that it will never end
- feel so desperate that you think about quitting your job, running away, taking a drug overdose, or injuring yourself
- feel depressed, sad, tearful, or that life is not worth living
- lose your appetite and find it difficult to sleep
- find that you are eating, drinking alcoholic beverages, smoking, or using recreational drugs in abnormally large amounts
- have worries, feeling and thoughts that are hard to talk about
- hear voices telling you what to do
